My New Room was developed by Spil Games and distributed by GirlsGoGames in April 2008 (verified using Wayback Machine).Note: Use the right mouse button to enter full-screen mode and adjust the graphics quality, which usually helps reduce lag (when available). You can adjust the page size using your browser's zoom function.
NEW! Now you can play all the games from our blog directly on your PC, without lag or bugs, just like in the 2000s!
Use the mouse to select items in the catalog to decorate the room. Move the items by dragging them with the mouse; use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to rotate and change the position of the items in front of or behind others. Use the paintbrush after clicking on an object to paint it. On some objects, you can paint more than one part. Click on the rug in the catalog to change the wallpaper and carpet, and on the pencil to add geometric shapes and draw.
Fond Memories ๐บOh... My New Room. What a rare gem. Spil Games sometimes really hit the mark. I don't know who created the GirlsGoGames mascot game series with Gwen, Gabriella, and Grace, but that person had a special, fashionable flair. My New Room, despite being just a room with some furniture and decoration options, had options for changing positions and a color palette and patterns that took things to another level of creativity. An artist (which I am not) could do incredible things with that whole color palette and patterns, the option to draw and spray paint, and levels to create the illusion of a second floor. Well, it was every child's dream to have a beautiful, comfortable, and cozy room. And I made mine, and I made a completely new one the next day and the next, because the options were vast. This is just game 1. My New Room became a series and has 5 games in total. In the last game, you have so many wonderful options that I'm always a little stunned when I open that game again. I won't be able to post game 2 on the blog because it has a bug in the online versions, only being functional in Flash browsers that require installation (but I'll leave the link in the game 3 post to Pinterest with some of my recent screenshots of the game). But I will post the Christmas version, 3 and 4 though. Well, this game has everything I've always loved: beautiful colors and decorations, cool and cute patterns, and all the space for me to try and make the most beautiful room ever! I'm still trying, almost 20 years later. Yes, this masterpiece is turning twenty and it's one of the most creative games for designing a girls' room that I've ever seen, even now in the era of 3D and ultra graphics. Classics never die and the love dedicated always creates memorable works. One of my eternal Top 3, for sure, forever in my heart. ♡
